TREATMENT
Q-switched laser therapy works by emitting short, high-intensity pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigments in the skin, such as tattoo ink or melanin in pigmented lesions. When the light energy is absorbed, it causes the pigments to break up into smaller particles that can be naturally eliminated by the body’s immune system.
The “Q-switched” mechanism in the laser creates short bursts of energy that are highly effective at targeting the pigments without causing damage to the surrounding skin. The laser emits light in a specific wavelength that is chosen based on the color of the pigment being treated. For example, blue and green pigments in tattoos absorb light in the 532nm wavelength, while black pigments absorb light in the 1064nm wavelength.
Q-switched laser therapy offers several advantages over other types of skin treatments, including:

Q-switched laser therapy is considered the gold standard for tattoo removal because it offers several benefits over other tattoo removal methods.
Here are some of the benefits of Q-switched laser treatments for tattoo removal:
R20M is a technique used in laser tattoo removal. It is an advanced method of tattoo removal that involves three steps: the first pass of laser energy, a twenty-minute break, then another pass of laser energy, and a twenty-minute break once again. The process is repeated four times, hence the name R20M. The breaks allow the body to absorb and excrete ink particles, much like the body would do naturally over a more extended period.
The procedure is quicker and more effective than traditional methods, and it reduces the number of treatments needed to remove a tattoo. R20M has improved patient satisfaction as it drastically reduces the pain and time required for tattoo removal. It is also effective for tattoo removal on dark skin types, where the traditional method has been deemed impossible.
Furthermore, R20M leaves minimal scarring and is suitable for larger tattoos as well. The precise and accurate laser reduces the chances of skin damage and unwanted side effects, making it an ideal option for those wanting to remove their tattoos without concerns for potential skin damage.
In conclusion, R20M laser tattoo removal is an advanced method that has revolutionized the tattoo removal industry. This new technique is much quicker and reduces patient discomfort. It has become the go-to option for those looking to remove their tattoos with minimal scarring and effectiveness. As always, it’s essential to choose a reputable laser tattoo removal clinic to ensure the best possible results.
Feel & Redness
It is normal for the treated area to feel like sunburn for a few hours. You should use a cold compress or cold-water spray as needed. You may also expect to experience redness and / or purpura (epidermal bleeding) within the treated area for five to seven days.
Bathing / Activities
Avoid bathing with very hot water, strenuous exercise, and massage for 2–3 days post laser skin care treatment.
Washing
Wait at least 12 hours (next morning) to wash your face. Cleansing your face with a mild cleanser should be recommended by your therapist. Use the cleanser for the duration of the healing process.
DO NOT use any scrubs or irritants such as Retin-A, Benzoyl Peroxide, or any astringents. Skin always should be patted dry and NOT rubbed.
Hydrating
Apply moisturising or home care products recommended by your therapist a few times a day to keep the skin well moisturized. Using the right products will help the healing process beneficial to the laser skin rejuvenation. It may prevent your skin from peeling.
Makeup
Makeup should not be used for at least 5 days post treatment. Most makeup is moisturizing, which can sometimes prevent the peeling process. If makeup is absolutely needed, we recommend using new mineral makeup to reduce the possibility of infection.
No Sun Exposure
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 1–2 months post treatment in order to reduce the chance of discoloration of the skin and to prevent your skin from peeling. A powdered mineral makeup can be worn during the healing process as a sunscreen, but make sure the makeup is new and the brush is clean. Liquid sunscreens are not enough or recommended. Sun exposure delays the process of healing. Sun exposure can cause damage to the healing skin and cause undue pigmentation and textural changes that may be lasting.
No Smoking
Smoking increases the risk of post-surgical complications. DO NOT smoke for 48 hours prior to and at least 7 days after the treatment, otherwise healing time may be prolonged.
