What is face yoga?
“Aging gracefully”
The scary thing about the world we live in is that we are surrounded by easy access to aesthetic medical treatments. These treatments are made to seem so appealing so we to rush towards them and we often do not stop and think about the long-term consequences. Keeping up with the latest trends does not guarantee younger looks and sometimes they can do the opposite.
To age with dignity and grace first we need to accept that we all age and this process will affect everyone.
We also need to look for a more subtle way to manage this process and there are lots of more pleasant and natural ways to slow down the aging process.
In this article I would like to suggest another method to help you manage the aging process which is Face Yoga.
What is face yoga?
Facial yoga is all about exercising face muscles, regular training of the facial muscles can naturally improve the condition of the facial muscles and elasticity of the skin, just like the muscles of the body.
Facial exercises actually have a long history of use in the treatment of certain health conditions that affect muscle control, including strokes and Bell’s palsy (Bell’s palsy is a condition where partial or total weakness or paralysis of the facial nerve occurs). As such, it seems to make sense that the same exercises would help slow down the look of aging skin, since studies show that age-related issues like sagginess (deterioration of facial tissue) are due in part to muscle loss.
How It Works Face Yoga?
You can think of face yoga as a gentle form of “strength training” for you face and neck muscles. The more you repeat certain face yoga exercises that target various parts of your face, the more you may notice that the muscles and skin start to slightly change for the better.
Based on what we know about facial exercises in general, the face yoga method seems to work in these ways:
- Stimulates facial muscles, stimulate collagen and elastin, helping improve their tone and “tightness, giving you a smoother, more supple-looking skin with a natural glow. This can explain why it may help some people experience reduced signs of aging, such as sagging.
- Increases blood flow/circulation to the skin, which can be helpful for clearing skin.
- Reduces strain and tension in the face muscles that are caused by repeated facial expressions throughout the day, such as squinting.
The techniques are also designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the middle layer of the skin giving you a smoother, more supple, tighter-looking skin with a natural glow. The series of exercises promises to do for your face what yoga does for your body: helping relax and tone muscles.
Practicing Face yoga has a variety of benefits
- Increased oxygen and blood flow to the face
- Helping smooth wrinkles and fine lines
- Lifting the skin around the eyes and preventing under eye bags/sagging
- Uplifted corners of the mouth
- A happier face creates a happier spirit
- Slimmer, more defined cheeks (for those who currently have a fuller face)
- Fuller cheeks (for those with a bony/slimmer face)
- Wider, fuller lips/mouth
- Decreased nasolabial fold lines
Face Yoga offers a fundamentally different approach. Without injections and procedures, you can improve health and tone – the natural state of human skin and get impressive results. Face Yoga It is also much safer- facial yoga is 100% natural and does not contain any chemicals or require needles.
Experts recommend performing the various facial exercises for 20 minutes, six times a week to see results quickly. There are approximately 50 muscles in your face, so exercising them is key.
